Today the boys and girls had a day off from cricket, instead, we went to visit the famous budhist temple in Kandy which required long sleeves and no shoes. This was an amazing experience and was thoroughly enjoyed. Following this, we went to a traditional and busy Sri Lankan market, where we did our best to haggle the prices down as much as possible and returned with some Sri Lankan merchandise. After this, we visited the tea factory, where we saw the steps of how different types of tea are produced, we even got to taste their BOP tea at the end and bought some souvenirs to bring home. We then checked into our new hotel, Goldi Sands, where the boys headed straight to the beach and played beach football with the locals and the girls found themselves in the pool after a long day. This was followed by a relaxing rest of the evening and a well deserved good night sleep.
