Girls: Our final day in Sri Lanka was definitely one of the best, we began with a team swim at 8.15 to wake us all up for the day ahead, we went to the oldest turtle sanctuary in Sri Lanka which was fantastic, we saw an albino turtle along with one day old turtles and even got to hold them! Up next was a safari boat tour where we saw and held a baby crocodile. After a fun morning off, we made our way to our final match of the tour. Aimee (captain) winning the toss and choosing to field first, Isla Scott-Dalgleish & Bella Frieda opening the bowling and other fantastic performances from Lottie Allen and Jemima Fulton all blowing 4 overs each, it was great to see Phoebe Martin getting down in the field stopping those 4’s and same goes to Freya Heath with admirable commitment. In the end the opposition scored 130 runs and we where left to chase, when it came to batting there was some brilliant partnerships including Freya Heath and Aimee Diab’s of 56 runs keeping us in the game early on, with the opposition concluding of mostly spinners the girls definitely rose to the challenge with Hettie Banks also batting very well, in the end we needed 18 of 3 overs and so anticipation levels where high, with support all round the pitch from both sides big hitting and quick singles where a must, Scarlett coming in to hit a 4 in the last two balls was definitely a highlight! But in the end we narrowly lost by 1 run which was a shame but equally a clear reflection off the girls efforts paying off, a great way to end a brilliant tour!

Boys: Excited for the last game of their trip, the boys on the first team woke up at 6 am to start the day bright and early. The stage was set for a big day ahead with breakfast at 6:30 am and a departure time of 7 am. The second team, meantime, was still getting out of bed in preparation for their own early start, which included breakfast at 7 am and a departure at 7:30 am. Around nine in the morning, the first team arrived at the magnificent cricket oval after a two-hour bus excursion that was both long and picturesque. It was all systems go for their last game, with the sun shining and the field looking flawless. The guys were excited and prepared for an exciting adventure. With a thrilling victory in the last game, the first team did not let anyone down. Tino put on an outstanding display, leading the side to a commanding lead with a spectacular knock of 114* not out. JJ Kane was equally deadly with the ball, taking two wickets and making a big contribution to the win. The second squad was involved in a thrilling conclusion while the first team celebrated their victory. Teddies' boys weren't going to back down, even if the opposition needed about 25 runs to win. It was anybody's game with only five wickets remaining, but in the end, the second team's tenacity proved sufficient, and the match concluded in an exciting way. After the games, both teams returned to the stunning Cinnamon Bey Hotel. In the oppressive heat of the day, everyone enjoyed a much-needed swim to cool off and relax. After a refreshing shower, the boys gathered for a competitive game of blackjack, which was an intense and fun way to unwind. As the evening drew to a close, a fantastic celebration dinner took place, complete with awards for some outstanding performances throughout the tour. It was a perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable cricket tour, full of highs, close matches, and fantastic camaraderie. A wonderful day to remember!
