Sri Lanka 2025, a history-making tour as two boys and a girls team, for the first time ever spent an action-packed 11 days in Sri Lanka on a mixed tour. The tour included lots of travel with amazing opportunities to see this beautiful country. Initially we started up at Sigiriya to see the picturesque rock at sunrise and then we went on an elephant safari where we got to see them up close and personal! We then headed to Kandy where we visited a tea factory and the Temple of the Tooth before heading south where we spent time on the stunning west coast. Throughout the tour, pupils got lots of opportunities to get involved in the local culture, see iconic sights and try the local cuisine.....lots of curry! Over the course of the trip we played at 16 different cricket grounds; with a great mix of school and public grounds. All teams played competitive cricket in tough conditions against strong oppositions and were a testament to the cricket club. The commitment and growth for the all the teams from games one to five was highly evident. The generosity and hospitality from the locals was at the forefront of the highlights of the trip.
